NGUDZENI: King Maloyi of the Mamba clan dispersed eMabutfo on Wednesday at Embelebeleni uMphakatsi after the weeding of the Mamba royal fields.
Throngs of the eMabutfo joined current Mamba King Maloyi III during the event, the Mamba clan has historical links with the ruling Eswatini Dlamini royal family.
During the Mfecane war between 1815 and 1836, King Somhlolo’s brother Prince Maloyi led eMabutfo and fought bravely in defense of the country and King Somhlolo authorized him to establish his own Kingdom in the eastern parts of Eswatini.
As a result, the Mamba clan is historically part of the Dlamini royal family.
