LOBAMBA: King Mswati has urged Government to vigorously work towards improving the standard of living in the country.
Speaking in Parliament -Lobamba on Fridaywhen delivering the Speech from the Throne, the King applauded the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in the past forty (40) years but, urged the Government to do more in improving the standard of living for the people. He said the achievements should be a motivation towards achieving or fulfilling the country’s aspirations to attain First World status.
“The country still has much to do and a long way to go towards fulfilling the aspirations of our First World vision. We should not rest until our people get to realize much improved living standards that place our GDP per capita at E480,000 ($30,000) from the current GDP per capita of E78,238,” said the King.
