SIBOVU: King Mswati has urged Government to fight the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) that is threatening the existence of emaSwati’s cattle in the rural areas.
A resident of Gugwini -Sibovu who identified himself as Ginindza, told this Swaziland News team during a visit at Mgofolweni, Sibovu and surrounding areas that, a cow remains the most precious resource for emaSwati, he was found looking after a herd of cattle. He said a cow now costs between fourteen and fifteen thousand Rands (R14,000.00 -R15,000.00).
“A cow is an important resource,” he said.
When delivering the Speech from the Throne in Parliament last week, King Mswati urged Government to fight the Foot and Mouth Disease.
