NEW TAX COMPLIANCE REGULATIONS: Bankers Association Chairperson Fikile Nkosi engaging Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) to ensure speedy processing of international transactions for tax compliant clients.

EZULWINI: Fikile Nkosi, the Chairperson of the Eswatini Bankers Association says, they are engaging the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) to ensure the speedy processing of international bank transactions for clients who are tax compliant.

The Bankers Association Chairperson was speaking at the Eswatini Revenue Service Headquarters-Ezulwini on Monday during the Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) Regulations Briefing.

“The Eswatini Bankers Association is actively engaging with ERS to ensure lawful and legitimate transactions are not disrupted focusing on practical implementation of the new rules, clarifying operational processes, and reducing unintended delays for compliant clients, all while balancing strong compliance with ease of doing business through a partnership between regulator, industry, and clients,” she said.

ERS Commissioner General Brightwell Nkambule said the TCC Regulations seek to “strengthens accountability by introducing a compliance checkpoint and encouraging businesses and individuals to proactively check their compliance status".
