MBABANE: Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade has officially opened the Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) Conference, Government online platforms reported on Wednesday.
The Conference held at the Royal Villas-Ezulwini, brings together international partners, including representatives from Taiwan, the United States, Japan, Lesotho and Eswatini, to share knowledge and further strengthen collaboration on entrepreneurship, digital innovation and MSME development.
“The Minister highlighted the importance of partnerships such as the GCTF in supporting capacity building, knowledge exchange and economic growth, particularly for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). According to the 2023 FinScope Survey, Eswatini has over 68,000 MSMEs employing approximately 93,000 people, making the sector a critical driver of employment, innovation and inclusive economic development,” reads the online report in part.
