LOBAMBA: Sicelo ‘KhungaNkhosi’ Dlamini, the Mayiwane Member of Parliament (MP) told Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini that, “Pigg’s Peak Police Station is allegedly controlled by drug dealers who are undermining junior cops just because they enjoy protection from senior police officers”.
The MP who was debating issues under the Prime Minister’s Office in Parliament on Wednesday, said the alleged illegal mining or stealing of gold in Pigg’s Peak was just a tip of the iceberg as drug dealers have taken over the police institution, the MP is a former police officer.
“I love the police organization and what is happening now angers me, we can’t have a police organization controlled by drug dealers. Recently I saw a drug dealer refusing to take orders from a junior traffic police officer, he shouted at the officer just because that drug dealer is financially subscribing to senior cops at the Headquarters. Action must be taken, I sometimes feel like taking a leave of absence, go and arrest those drug dealers and then come back to Parliament,” said the MP.
