MBABANE: Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini has donated ten thousand Rands (R10,000.00) to the family of Slindile Dlamini who was brutally shot and killed by a member of the Umbutfo Eswatini Defense Force (UEDF).
The editor said he was approached by the Dlamini family of Ka-Bhekinkhosi for assistance on Thursday morning and after understanding the situation, felt he can contribute the little he has.
“I’ve transferred the R10,000.00 to Ruchi Wholesalers and I’ve spoken to the Ruchi Director to only allow two nominated family members with proof of Identity Document (IDs) to collect the food not anyone else”, said the editor.
The editor said the family appealed for calm when burying Slindile Dlamini this weekend despite the cause of death, he urged the public to allow the family to bury Slindile in peace while the investigation into her death continues as communicated by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini.
