MBABANE: Iran has vowed to continue fighting until the United States and Israel suffer severe damage including economic losses, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told the international media.
This comes after US President Donald Trump said Iran was willing to talk and end the war but, the Islamic Republic dismissed Trump’s sentiments saying, “we never engaged in talks with the US to end the war”.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported this week that several Iranian top officials including Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said “there were no talks with the United States”.
As a result, Iran attacked Israel a few hours after Trump’s statement signaling an end to the war, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said they “want the US and Israel to never again think of attacking Iran”.
The Iran Foreign Minister said the US and Israel wanted to end the war so that they can accumulate more weapons and attack them again, he said this time they want to teach Israel and the US a lesson regarding the consequences of attacking Iran.
