MBABANE: Sibongile Mazibuko, the President of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) said as members of Lutsango, they don’t recall being summoned into a meeting where they were asked whether they wanted democratic reforms or not.

This comes after the Times Sunday quoted Princess Dumsile Sigwane saying Emabutfo and Lutsango were against political reforms.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday, the NNLC President said the Princess was supposed to consult them as Lutsango or through the various Tinkhundla Centres to get their views regarding the ongoing debate on political reforms before making such a statement.

“She was supposed to call all of us around the country to get our political views regarding the democratic reforms not to speak on our behalf as Lutsango saying we don’t want democratic reforms. As a leader of Lutsango, she ought to have known that she was supposed to consult with the members of the Lutsango regiment before making such a statement. But then, before we even talk about that, we want to know the whereabouts of the money that was collected from us as Lutsango after we were misled that Indlovukazi was establishing a women’s bank.

We expect Umlangeni to give us that money before she can talk about this”, said the NNLC President.

Efforts to reach Princess Dumsile proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern Africa and ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch is facing growing calls for democratic reforms.
