MBABANE: High Court Judge Mummcy Dlamini has reserved the judgement for the bail application of the two pro-democracy MPs in Mduduzi ‘Bacede’ Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube who were charged for terrorism.
Advocate Mduduzi Mabila submitted before the court that the Crown failed to prove that the two MPs are a flight risk.
“It is known that an application stands or falls with the founding affidavits and likewise, the opposing answering affidavit. Where, My Lady does the respondents indicate what made them a flight risk”the Advocate said.
This was after the Crown alleged that the two MPs were a flight risk even though MP Bacede owns various businesses.
The crown said apart from the fact that these MPs were a flight risk, they might interfere with witnesses.
Speaking to this Swaziland News later, instructing Attorney Sifiso Jele said the Judge reserved her judgement in order to give herself time to consider arguments from both parties.
