MBABANE: Qondile Dlamini, the police officer who was exposed by this publication for allegedly threatening to deal with those who challenged King Mswati said she is now flooded with calls from people threatening to kill her and kidnap her child.
Speaking to this publication, Dlamini who was almost in tears said most of the calls came from South Africa and the people appeared to have accurate information regarding her whereabouts and her child.
“Firstly, let me apologize to the Nation, my comment on social media was quoted out of context, I didn’t mean what was later published. I was just commenting on a post that was posted by someone in a group dominated by members of the royal family”, she said.
It has been disclosed that Dlamini commented in a post where the author indicated that he had no sympathy or cannot demonstrate a good heart to anyone who disrespected the King.
“Why should we demonstrate humanity to them in the first place”, Dlamini said when responding to the post.
When asked by the editor of this Swaziland Néws what she meant by her comment considering that the police are currently killing people, Dlamini said she didn’t mean any harm.
“I am a supporter of the King but I didn’t mean any harm with that comment. My main problem now is that I can’t even go to town, people want to kill me and kidnap my child. You will note that as I speak to you now, the calls are flooding in and it’s too much for me,” she said.
The police officer said by apologizing she was not necessarily acknowledging that she threatened people but for the sake of peace in her life.
