MBABANE: A member of the Umbutfo Eswatini Defense Force(UEDF) has skipped the country as pro-democracy security forces intensify moves to contribute their military skills and information to democratize eSwatini.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening, the soldier said he was already in a safe place and would give further details about his reason to resign from the army later.
The name of the soldier and place where he has been accommodated cannot be disclosed for now for ethical reasons, he is expected to speak exclusively to this publication. He is the second security officer to skip the country in less than a week after Sergeant Cebile Shongwe, more pro-democracy security officers are expected to resign.
“I am currently in a safe place and we will speak later”,he said.
