MBABANE: Mtiti Fakudze, the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation(EPTC) Board Chairperson has advised the newly appointed Managing Director Themba Khumalo to remain professional and desist from fighting Eswatini MTN.
Speaking to this Swaziland News when interviewed by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini, Fakudze described Khumalo as a highly experienced corporate guru with the potential of coming up with a turn around strategy for the financial struggling State owned telecoms company. He said among other issues that were expected to be addressed by the new Managing Director is the issue of the Joint Venture Agreement(JVA) between EPTC and Eswatini MTN, he urged him to address it without fighting or frustrating the mobile communications company.
“Among the issues he is expected to address is the issue of the JVA, he understands it very well because he has been with the Communications Commission. We expect him to remain professional when addressing it without fighting MTN”,said the Board Chairperson.
Themba Khumalo was announced as the new Managing Director of the telecoms company by the Board on Monday, he replaces Petros Dlamini.
