KAZENZILE- About 40 poverty-stricken pupils who reside at Gogo Nde’s orphanage here at KaZenzile appeal for funds to buy their schools shoes and exercise books.
Eswatini formerly known as Swaziland is a country with about 70% of the population living below the poverty line with a high number of orphans.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, Tsabile Simelane, known as Gogo ‘Nde’ who is the founder and overseer of the orphanage home said the children passed well but they were now in need of shoes and exercise books. According to Simelane, some of the orphans were attending classes at Thembelisha Primary School.
“The children passed well. Many got second class, one merit and the other, a first class. However we appeal to Good Samaritans to buy them shoes plus exercise books. We will appreciate financial assistance in order to buy them these items before schools open in 21 Janury, 2020.”
This publication previously reported that Tsabile Simelane populary known as Gogo 'Nde' sacrificed her pension to care and provide future for over 200 destitute children that were neglected by the Eswatini government. Simelane is living with disabilities after she was involved in a car accident and walks in clutches. The orphanage is situated in Southern part of the Kingdom of Eswatini, about 100 kilometres away from the capital city of Eswatini, Mbabane.
