MBABANE: Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) said Government must address the grievances of protesting students in the various schools instead of threatening to send security forces.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday, the SNAT President said issues of democracy did not have an age limit hence the ongoing protests in various schools.
“As we mentioned earlier, issues of democracy do not have an age limit hence the ongoing protests in the various schools across the country. Government must not try to find out who is urging them to protest but should provide a solution to their grievances”,said the SNAT President.
Government Spokesperson Sabelo Dlamini had not responded to our questions at the time of compiling this report.
Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom situated in Southern African is facing growing calls for democratic reforms, students in high schools and Universities are protesting, they are demanding democracy and social services like the payment of scholarships among others.
