MBABANE: One South Africa Movement leader Mmusi Maimane says freedom day for all Swazis is coming.
Speaking on Swaziland News during a Family meeting hosted by Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP) Mduduzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane on Sunday, the former leader of the Democratic Alliance(DA) said it might seem dark for the people of Swaziland but freedom would eventually come.
“The day for your freedom is coming. We here in South Africa, we grew-up in Soweto in the 80s, we thought it was dark. But I remember the day President Nelson Mandela walked out of Victor Vester, we were jubilant, celebrating and your moment is also coming. I want to tell you, I stand before you and I will mobilise every resource we find to support your fight for freedom. If we need to stand in every media platform and call for freedom in Swaziland and the end of dictatorship and the ideal that people should be free, we will continue to do so”, he said.
Maimane, a well-known and powerful politician in South Africa also emphasized on the importance of liberating the African continent.
