LOBAMBA: King Mswati wants to call Sibaya after Incwala in the midst of political tension in this tiny Kingdom.

Sibaya is a traditional structure where Swazis are summoned to discuss issues, however, none of the issues raised in that forum were ever addressed by the King.

“The King is appealing for calm and will host Sibaya after Incwala”, said Ludzidzini  Indvuna Themba Ginindza.

Eswatini is in the midst of a political crisis after the King unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.

Reached for comments, Mduduzi ‘Magawugawu’ Simelane, the Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP) said Sibaya is a property of the King hence the issues affecting the country cannot be discussed there.

“Mswati thinks we are jocking, he will soon realize that the issue of democracy is a very serious matter that cannot be discussed within the premises of his home”, said the MP.
