Pro-democracy groups deliver petition in Parliament, demand democracy.

LOBAMBA: Pro-democracy groups under the Multistakeholders Forum marched to Parliament on Monday to deliver a petition in demand for democratic reforms.

Human Rights Lawyer Thulani Maseko, the Chairperson of the Multistakeholder Forum said the march was meant to deliver a petition and support the call for democracy including an elected Prime Minister.

“We are in Parliament right now, to deliver the petition of the people of Swaziland to support the call for democracy and an elected Prime Minister”, said Chairperson of the Multistakeholders Forum, an alliance of political parties, civil society and other pro-democracy groups.

Eswatini is in the midst of a political crisis, Swazis are demanding democratic reforms and the King is unleashing his security forces to shoot and kill civilians.
