NOKWANE: Newly appointed Acting Army Commander three(3) star Lieutenant General Mashikilisane Fakudze has elevated himself to the position of Army Commander by placing his picture on the walls within the Nokwane Army Headquarters and other barracks.
Senior army personnel who spoke to this journalist expressed serious concerns regarding the conduct of the Acting Army Commander and shared pictures of Fakudze placed next to portraits of former Army Commanders, Jeffery Shabalala and Prince Sobantu Dlamini.
“We are deeply concerned about his conduct, he told us he is very close to royalty and has performed various duties for the King hence nothing will be done to him. Furthermore, he is now targeting all those who were working with former Commander Jeffery Shabalala by transferring them without consulting anyone.”, said a senior insider within the Army Headquarters.
Reached for comments, Army Spokesperson Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo said her office would touch base with the relevant structures to ascertain certain facts regarding the matter.

It has been disclosed that King Mswati is expected to announce a permanent Army Commander whose picture will then be placed on the walls.
Fakudze was appointed on acting basis by the King, he was announced by Chief Defense Officer Prince Sihlangsemphi after then then Army Commander Jeffery Shabalala stepped down amid the release of an electronic where he was revealing Mswati’s secrets.
