OSISA’s R1million for Swaziland News to support access to information.

MBABANE: Swaziland News, a leading and independent online publication in eSwatini has once again received R1million support from the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa(OSISA).

The support was confirmed by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini who thanked the human rights organization for ensuring that this publication received resources to enhance access information.

“OSISA has been supporting this publication for the past three(3) years and has assisted it to grow. As a media organization that subscribes to accountability and transparency, we will again make sure these funds are accounted for”, said the editor.

OSISA has played a major role in supporting democracy and accountability in various countries by supporting investigative journalism.

Other organizations that supported the Swaziland News particularly the editor include the Committee to Protect Journalists(CPS) and the Southern African Human Rights Defenders Network(SAHRDN).
