MANZINI: Students at the Southern African Nazarene University(SANU) whose tuition fees were paid by incarcerated Hosea Member of Parliament(MP) Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza are now struggling, they are  demanding  for his release.

The MP was arrested together with Ngwempisi MP Mthandeni Dube for demanding democratic reforms, they were charged with terrorism, murder and violating COVID-19 regulations among other politically motivated criminal charges.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Wednesday, Colani Maseko, the President of the Swaziland National Union of Students(SNUS) said some of the students had their tuition fees paid by the incarcerated MP.

“As we know that MP Bacede was taking care of some of the SANU students by paying their tuition fees, those students are now struggling. We are demanding the release of the pro-democracy MPs, the University management decided to close it but we later organized ourselves through social media and went there to protest”, said the Students Union President.

Bacede Mabuza was the first MP who declared his support for democracy inside Parliament, he vowed to join Swazis in demanding democratic reforms.
