MBABANE:One Billion Rising Africa Coordinator Colani Hlatjwako has urged emaSwati to report incidents of gender based violence as part of the 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence(GBV).
Speaking to this Swaziland News, the Coordinator said it was everyone's responsibility to report incidents of gender based violence to ensure that the victims got justice.
“We would like to urge emaSwati to report incidents of gender based violence to ensure that we live in a violence free society. We have seen many people getting admitted to the psychiatric center just because no one wants to listen to their stories of abuse. We would like to urge the police and the courts to also play their part and ensure that victims of gender based violence get justice", she said.
The month of December is dedicated to 16 days of activism , a campaign that seeks to raise awareness on gender based violence.
