MBABANE: Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) says Sandile Phakathi will face disciplinary action for calling pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) “boys” during an online political school organized by the political organization.
In a public apology, the political organization apologized to the MPs and members of the public who were affected by the statement.
“We humbly apologize to the affected Members of Parliament and fellow Swazis who have been affected”, read the statement of apology in part.
The three pro-democracy MPs who are critical of King Mswati include Bacede Mabuza, Mthandeni Dube and Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane. MP Mabuza and Dube were arrested by Mswati’s police for demanding democratic reforms while Simelane is in exile.
