MKHITSINI: King Mswati’s police invaded Mkhistsini on Thursday and terrorized residents in search for guns.
This comes after the shooting and killing of Indvuna Mbongeleni Vilakati who was working closely with Mswati’s Chief Mfukama Mndzebele, the Chief had killed Mondli Mndzebele triggering tension within the community.
It is not clear who owns the gun that killed Indvuna Vilakati, but resident told this publication that the police decided to raid after suspecting that it was owned by one of the residents.
“We are in the forests as we speak running away from the police who are invading our homes. They arrived in fifteen cars and they are terrorizing us”, said *Sipho Mabuza of Mkhitsini.
Police Spokesperson Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
The tension at Mkhitsini erupted after Mswati’s Chief Mfukama Mndzebele shot and killed a resident of the area over a land dispute, other residents later burnt his home and the Royal Kraal(umphakatsi).
