MBABANE:The Swazi Lives Matter Global Movement (SLMGM) has congratulated the newly formed Letfu Sonkhe Institution for Strategic Thinking and Development for uniting the pro-democracy movement, resulting to the adoption of the Boksburg Declaration.

In a public statement issued by Bahlelisiwe Luhlanga on behalf on the movement, the SLMGM noted that the Letfu Sonkhe Institution for Strategic Thinking and Development managed to host about forty(40)civil society groups to discuss strategies intensify the struggle for democracy.

The Boksburg conference was chaired by among others, Letfu Sonkhe Chairperson Mandla Hlatswayo.

"As an organization we welcome the Boksburg Declaration and reiterate the calls for a mediated dialogue that will be guided by our unique values of Ubuntu, African democracy and good governance. We caution, however, that nothing can be won in the dialogue table that cannot be won in the streets. We therefore call for the struggle to be intensified and for organisations like the SLMGM and it's allied partners to continue to isolate the King internationally and lobby for targeted sanctions", read the statement in part.

On 3 - 5 December 2021, political leaders within the Mass Democratic Movement and the civil society met in Boksburg where they adopted the Boksburg Declaration.
