Bishop Nash Shongwe Foundation donates food, clothes worth over R200,000.00 to the elderly.

MANZINI: Bishop Nash Shongwe's Foundation donated food and clothes worth over two hundred thousand(R200,000.00) to the elderly.

The donation was made in an event held at the Manzini Divine Healing Ministries on Tuesday, it was graced by among others, Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku and former Mbabane West Member of Parliament(MP) Johannes Shongwe.

Speaking during the event, Bishop Nash Shongwe, the Director of Bishop John Nash Shongwe Foundation said the event and the donations cost an estimated amount of R200,000.00.

“This donation and the whole event cost plus or minus R200,000.00, we wanted to make sure the elderly enjoyed themselves”, he said.

Senator Themba Masuku, the Deputy Prime Minister thanked Bishop Nash Shongwe for inviting him to grace the event adding that the Bishop insisted that the event would not continue without his presence.

“I would like to thank Bishop Nash for inviting me to be part of this event even though I was supposed to attend a Cabinet meeting today. The Bishop insisted that I must be present otherwise, the event would not continue”, said the Deputy Prime Minister.
