REVEALED: Eswatini Queen Ntombi Tfwala critical, secretly airlifted to South Africa at night.

MBABANE: Eswatini Queen Ntombi Tfwala, the mother to King Mswati had to miss Parliament official opening on Friday and was subsequently airlifted to Johannesburg, South Africa in a critical condition, she is allegedly fighting for her life.

Under normal circumstances, King Mswati and the Queen’s international trips are publicized by the State controlled media, however, this trip and the fact that Indlovukazi missed the official opening of Parliament was kept a top secret.

But an independent investigation by this Swaziland News uncovered the Queen’s private documents including passport information suggesting that Tfwala Ntombi, born on the 27th December 1949, left the country to Johannesburg around 02:34 on Saturday, she was using flight number 3DC-SDF.

The documents further reveal that the Queen Mother who is registered as a religious Minister in some of her private documents, used her diplomatic passport when she left the country, she was afforded thirty(30) days to be in South Africa allegedly, while receiving medical treatment.

Other information as reflected in the Queen Mother’s private documents cannot be revealed for ethical reasons.

Reached for comments, Petros Mavimbela, the Speaker in the House of Assembly asked this journalist to call him later, this publication was seeking a comment as to why the Queen missed the official opening of Parliament.

“Please call me later, I’m at a funeral”, said the Speaker.

Efforts were made to reach Lusendvo Fakudze, the Ludzidzini Palace Governor, however, his phone rang answered.

But insiders within the royal family confirmed that the Queen was sick and in a critical condition.

“She is in a critical condition and her health condition is worsening”, said the insider.

Eswatini is facing a health crisis after Mswati’s Government neglected public hospitals and as a result, high profile people are flying to other countries for medical treatment.

Reached for comments, Welcome Mdluli, the President of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union(SWADNU) said he was not surprised to note that high profile people continued to fly to other countries for medical treatment after destroying the health system.

“They know they have destroyed the health system that’s why they are flying to other countries for medical treatment. As I am speaking to you, I have a patient next to me and I cannot assist this patient because there are no drugs here”, said the Nurses Union President.

On Friday, the Queen missed the official opening of Parliament for the first time since she ascended to Throne, her son King Mswati, who looked depressed addressed the Nation and touched on various national issues.

According to Swazi culture, once a Queen Regent is appointed, her son automatically becomes the next King and this means the health condition of Mswati’s mother will determine the future of the Monarchy and who might be appointed to the Throne when the current King dies.

Princess Lindiwe Dlamini, the Minister of Home Affairs had announced that this year’s Buganu Buganu ceremony will be held on the 11-13th February 2022, however, royal insiders told this publication that she had to postpone the event to the second week of March 2022 with the hope that Indlovukazi would have recovered.

Buganu ceremony is a traditional event attended by women through their regiment(Lutsango), the event is normally addressed by the Queen as a traditional leader of Lutsango.

The State controlled media reported that the event has been postponed, however, due to the fact that the media is controlled in eSwatini, the reason behind the postponement was never communicated to the public.

At the time of compiling this report on Sunday morning, the jet that was used to airlift the Queen to South Africa was parked at the OR Tambo International Airport.
