Military vehicle with soldiers rushing to shot civilians in Matsapha, loses brakes, overturns.

EZULWINI: An army vehicle that was transporting soldiers rushing to shot civilians in Matsapha, lost brakes and overturned along the Ezulwini-LaMgabhi road on Tuesday.

It is alleged that the military vehicle was rushing to Matsapha Prison with armed soldiers to assist Warders who were shooting and assaulting members of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) who had come to visit sickly Ngwempisi MP Mathandeni Dube.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, Gift Dlamini, the Deputy Secretary General of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) confirmed that their members were shot and assaulted for visiting incarcerated MP Mthandeni Dube who was reported sick.

“We received information suggesting that Mthandeni is sick and we were there to check on him only to be shot and assaulted by warders”, said the SWALIMO Deputy Secretary General.

Army Spokesperson Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

An eyewitness who saw the army vehicle involved in an accident told this publication that there was reasonable suspicion that the military vehicle lost brakes.

“We gathered that the military vehicle lost brakes. When I tried to take pictures, they forced me to delete, manje bo-Mangololo abati kutsi even if you can delete, you can then restore the pictures from recycle bin”, said the eye witness.
