PRETORIA: “Besiyovalelisa Gogo, and now we are waiting to place flowers”.
These were the words of United Eswatini Diaspora (UED)Convenor Bongani ‘IB' Dlamini when speaking about the protest that took place at the NetCare Hospital on Tuesday.
“Actually, this was our last protest to her, just to say goodbye. By oppressing us, these people have changed our hearts such that we no longer have sympathy even when they are sick. I personally went to the reception at the Hospital and told them we are waiting to place flowers on Gogo’s final resting place”, he said.
As exclusively reported by this Swaziland News on Sunday, Eswatini Queen Ntombi Thwala was airlifted to South Africa in a critical condition.
Swazis based in that country later organized a protest at the premises of the NetCare hospital demanding that she be airlifted back to eSwatini.
At the time of compiling this report, sources revealed there the Queen was placed on life support machinery at the hospital.
