MBABANE: Resigned pro-democracy police officer Sergeant Cebile ‘Cece’ Shongwe has warned Correctional Services Commissioner General Phindile Dlamini as warders continue to assault incarcerated Members of Parliament Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.

This comes after this publication published an investigative report exposing how warders from the Rapid Response Unit invaded Matsapha prison cells and assaulted the pro-democracy MPs.

“I want to warn you Phindile, stop assaulting our MPs, the fact that they are in prison for nothing is an unfair punishment”, said the pro-democracy cop in a leaked conversation with the Correctional Services Commissioner General.

When responding to the resigned cop, Phindile Dlamini, the Correctional Services Commissioner General denied that the MPs were assaulted, adding that such information was being spread by those who were inciting the people to be angry and overthrow the government.
