PUDEMO Chairperson leads Manyiseni residents to petition Chief Bhejisa, demand their land back.

MANYISENI:Norman Xaba, the Chairperson of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO)  in the Shiselweni region  has on Sunday led residents of Manyiseni Chiefdom to petition Chief Bhejisa Lushaba demanding their land which was forcefully grabbed from them.

This comes after this Swaziland News published a story that revealed how the Chief forced those who were against the system of governance to pay a fine in the form of cattle before burrying their relatives. 

Speaking to this publication, the Shiselweni region PUDEMO Chairperson  said they successfully delivered the petition and they would be returning on the 5th March for responses.

We demand that the Chief returns all the pieces of land that were grabbed from the people. Firstly, we want him to return the cow that he fined Mavo Dlamini after he lost his family to a car accident", he said.

Reached for comments, Mansizwa Nxumalo,the Indvuna for the Manyiseni Chiefdom declined to comment but in an earlier interview he asked this publication to stay away from their affairs. 

"Stay away from these land issues since they don’t involve you", said the Manyiseni Headman.
