MBABANE: Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) is set to retain his position after beating his rival in his branch.
This was confirmed by SNAT Secretary General Sikelela Dlamini who mentioned that even though the elections were ongoing, the elective procedures of the Teachers Union suggest that Dlamini has already won as President.
“Even though the President and the Secretary General are expected to contest in other branches before the National Conference but it is clear that President Mbongwa Dlamini and the incoming Secretary General Lot Vilakati have already won”, he said.
The new SNAT leadership is expected to take over after the elective conference to be held in October.
Sikelela Dlamini did not participate in the elections as per the Constitution of the organization after being elected as the 2nd Deputy Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA).
