PUDEMO urges activists not to sell the struggle, learn a lesson from Jabulani Nxumalo’s life.

MBABANE: Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General(SG) of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has urged political activists who might think of selling the struggle to the regime to learn a lesson from former SFTU Deputy SG Jabulani Nxumalo’s life.

Nxumalo who worked with the late PUDEMO President Mario Masuku, unionists Jan Sithole and Themba Msibi among others has been struggling to be fully recognized by the regime unlike other political activists.

“There are many comrades who later joined the regime and rewarded  with powerful positions, this was done to neutralize the struggle. Fighting for freedom needs a person with a political backbone if you are weak, the regime will swallow and later parade you for everyone to see that you are now on their side”, said the PUDEMO Secretary General.

This comes after a leaked audio in possession of this publication where Ludzidzini Council member Ncumbi Maziya claimed King Mswati told him  that he doesn’t take Jabulani Nxumalo seriously accusing him of being a hypocrite without a backbone.

When reached for comments, Jabulani Nxumalo demanded the audio before commenting, however, the former unionist is on record commenting on the same audio and even sending emails to this journalists when interviewed  for the then Swaziland Shopping.

The electronic evidence with critical State information reveals details of a meeting held at Nkhanini and attended by Ncumbi Maziya, the then EBC member, Chairman Chief Gija Dlamini, EBC Head of Secretariat Richard Phungwayo and Princess Nkosungumenzi.
