MBABANE: A car belonging to Sibusiso ‘Lusito’ Dlamini who assaulted journalist Thembeka ‘Dima Katso’ Gamedze is among those burnt by the Swaziland International Solidarity Force(SISF).

This comes after members of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) invaded the Police Camp in the early hours on Saturday, fired shots and burnt personal cars belonging to police officers.

Police in eSwatini are law unto themselves, they arrest and kill citizens with impunity, journalists who expose the State on issues of injustice are tortured and thrown behind bars.

As a result, the country is slowly turning into a State of lawlessness as citizens in collaboration with the international solidarity forces have resorted to targeting police officers.

Reached for comments, journalist Thembeka ‘Dima Katso’ Gamedze confirmed that Lusito Dlamini was the police officer who assaulted her but said she could not comment regarding the burning of his car.

“I cannot say whether it was wrong or right to burn the car, I choose not to comment”, said the journalist.

A police officer who spoke to this Swaziland News said Lusito Dlamini who is  based at the Mbabane Police Station traffic department bought the car yesterday(Friday) and it was burnt on the same night.

“Uyitsenge itolo loku, tonkhe letimoto letishisiwe temaphoyisa aka-traffic(meaning: he bought it just yesterday, those burnt cars were owned by traffic police officers)”, said the police officer.

Phindile Vilakati, the police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

On another note, the Commander of the Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) warned police officers against shooting and killing civilians adding that they will now attack the police personally.
