LOBAMBA: Timothy Myeni, the Nkilongo Member of Parliament(MP) said people are rebelling against the Tinkhundla system because they feel neglected.

Speaking in Parliament on Thursday during the debate of the Tinkhundla Ministry budget, the MP said he came to Parliament through the system that is now wanted out by the people.

As a result, the MP said even though he was not against the Tinkhundla system, he had to listen to the people who are now against it and be their voice.

“I came to Parliament through the Tinkhundla system but now the people are against the system. As a result, I had to listen to the people and be their voice”, said the Nkilongo MP.

Myeni wondered why Government was not allocating more money to the Ministry of Tinkhundla if those in power really loved and appreciated the system. He said by failing to allocate money to the Regional Development Fund(RDF), those in power proved that they didn’t  like the system as well.
