MBOMBELA:Sikhumbuzo Maseko, a member of the People's Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) who was arrested on Sunday during a protest against the Royal Leopards in their CAF game with Al-Ittihad was on Tuesday released on R500 bail.
Maseko was charged with public disturbance after a group of Swazi protestors allegedly attacked Superintendent Bheki Khumalo who was seriously injured.
Speaking to this publication, Wandile Dludlu, the PUDEMO Secretary General confirmed that their member was detained by the South African Police Services (SAPS) and was subsequently released by the Mpumalanga Magistrate Court on bail.
"He was charged with public disturbance and he was granted E500 bail today ,Maseko he will be appearing in court in April 2022", said the PUDEMO Secretary General.
