MBABANE: Colani Hlatjwako, the One Billion Rising Africa Coordinator says Gender Based Violence amounts to murder. 

The Coordinator was speaking on Friday during a march to the Deputy Prime Minister's office where human rights organisations were demanding that Gender Based Violence be declared a national disaster.

"Even though the Constitution allows for safe abortion in cases of rape, but some of our sisters are raising children that were conceived as a result of rape. This is because these victims are neglected by the system, Gender Based Violence(GBV) is the same as murder because the perpetrators kill us emotionally until we lose our self esteem", she said.
