Warrant of arrest issued against PUDEMO's Head of International Affairs, to hand himself over to the police.

LOMAHASHA: A warrant of arrest has been issued against Siboniso Mkhabela, the People’s United Democratic Movement's (PUDEMO) Head of International Affairs,insiders within the law enforcement agency told this publication.

This comes after the PUDEMO leader organised Lomahasha residents to fix potholes in the area’s roads.

Mswati’s police responded with violence and dispersed the residents on suspicion that they were re-grouping to discuss politics amid fears of another political unrest.

But the residents later engaged in a protest action at night who demanding to know they were being stopped from fixing potholes that were causing accidents in the area,thereafter, a school was burnt allegedly by the angry protestors.

It has been disclosed that Mkhabela, who allegedly organized the residents to fix the potholes has since been charged with terrorism. 

Speaking to this Swaziland News, the influential PUDEMO leader confirmed that a warrant of arrest has been issued against him, he urged the people of Lomahasha and all democracy loving Swazis not to worry about him but themselves.

We are all in a prison called Swaziland. Imprisoned by one greedy family which believes it has been ordained by God. Eventually Mswati will fall, the only way to ensure that is by making sure that we all confront him head on from all angles until we attain democracy,”, he said.

The PUDEMO leader said he will hand himself over to the police on Tuesday morning.

Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Eswatini is in the midst of a political crisis after King Mswati allegedly unleashed soldiers and the police to shot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.
