PM donates to Philani Maswati ‘Donate a Can’ campaign

Wednesday, 6th November, 2019

Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo has donated a tray of cans towards Philani Maswati’s ‘Donate a Can” campaign and urged the Nation to support this initiative.

This was during an event held today(Tuesday 05 November 2019) at the Cabinet offices in Mbabane where the Prime Minister called upon the eMaswati to rally behind this Charity organization saying it was doing a great job in supporting the needy in the country.

“I would like to applaud Her Majesty, the Indlovukazi’s vision in the establishment of Philani Maswati. The ‘Donate a Can’ initiative is a good idea of ensuring that the elderly will in the 59 Tinkhundla centres enjoy a happy Christmas”

Ndzingeni Member of Parliament Lutfo Dlamini, the Chairman of Philani Maswati thanked the Prime Minister for supporting the charity organization saying he was leading by example in ensuring that the elderly enjoy Christmas too. The ‘Donate a Can’ campaign by launched by the Charity Organization in partnership with SPAR.

We as Philani Maswati greatly appreciate the Prime Minister’s gesture in putting aside his heavy Cabinet schedule and invite the Cabinet to pledge support for this noble and humanitarian cause. We believe this will assist in getting the public to follow this example.

Other companies and Organizations can now invite us to collect non-perishable donations from their sites just as PM did. While we are partnering with Spar, other outlets are free to join us as we want to have enough food to cover all the 59 Tinkhundla Centre’s.

To the PM and other donors we say may God bless and prosper you. Wishing you a merry Christmas” said the Philani Chairman.
