NGWEMPISI:The Swaziland Rural Women Assembly (SRWA) has on Thursday donated food parcels to Dzeliwe Dube,the mother to incarcerated pro-democracy MP Mthandeni Dube.
Bonsile Mamba, the Rural Women Assembly Chairperson said the continued incarceration of Ngwempisi Member of Parliament (MP) Mthandeni Dube has brought many problems to his family as they were left without a bread winner.
“The Rural Women Assembly supports the calls for the democratization of eSwatini where everyone will have equal opportunities in shaping the eSwatini we want", she said.
Mthandeni Dube's mother thanked the women rights organization for the donation.
“Thanks to the friends of my son for this food support,when police came here I told them to go away because they took my son from me and I don't have any personal relationship with them,”she said.
MP Mthandeni Dube was arrested alongside MP Bacede Mabuza of Hosea and charged for terrorism after calling for democratic reforms in Parliament.
