SITEKI: Detective Sbongiseni Mkhabela, the officer who allegedly shot the Lubombo Central High School reminded Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini that he was delivering bread at his shop some years ago.

This was after he was questioned by the editor as to why he shot Richard Ndlovu(18) who was from attending an end of year party with other children at Lubombo Central High School.

“Do you remember me, I was delivering bread to your shop”,said the police officer.

The editor used to own a tuck shop with an SPTC spaza phone business at Matsapha between 2005-2008, at the time, the detective was working for a company subcontracted to Prime Bakery. It could not be ascertained as to why the officer opted to remind the editor that he was delivering bread instead of responding to questions.

Detective Mkhabela allegedly shot Richard Ndlovu, a student at Lubombo Central High School at night on 02 April 2022  at or near Siteki Power Station.

On another note, Swaziland News editor said he knew Mkhabela before he became a police officer but part of his responses when asked about to the shooting were not relevant to the subject matter.
