OSHOEK:Sinawo Tambo, an Economic Freedom Fighters South Africa (EFFSA) Member of Parliament(MP) said King Mswati's life was not worth celebrating after he allegedly killed dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.
Speaking on Tuesday at Oshoek during the border blockade organised by the EFFSA which coincided with King Mswati's birthday, the MP said they were in full support of the calls for the removal of Mswati from power adding that his birthday was not worth celebrating after the killing dozens of civilians.
"We are sending a categorical message that we don't celebrate the life of a murderer, we are calling for the redistribution of wealth and the immediate democratization of Swaziland. We are not going to allow one man to monopolize wealth for his children and wives while the people live in poverty,”he said.
Thabile Mdluli, the Deputy Government Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
The Economic Freedom Fighters South Africa (EFFSA)on Tuesday organised its members to protest and block major border gates between South Africa and Eswatini in solidarity with Swazis calling for democratic reforms.
