CoronaVirus: PM Ambrose Dlamini announces 20-days partial shutdown.

MBABANE:Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo has announced a 20-days partial lockdown as part of measures to control the spread of the CoronaVirus.

The PM said Commerce Minister Mancoba Khumalo will soon announce industries to be exempted from the shutdown that is expected to last for about three weeks.

“His Majesty King Mswati III and Ingwenyama has commanded Government to introduce a partial lockdown on selected sectors of the country to curtail the spread of the coronavirus with effect from 27 March 2020” he said.

The Head of Government said police and soldiers will be roped in to make sure people stay within the premises of their homes adding that bottle stores will now be operated between 11 am and 6pm from Monday to Saturday. He said the police will make sure informal bottle stores and sheebens are closed during this period.
