MBABANE: Prince Hlangusemphi, the Defense Chief Officer will be laid to rest on Friday 06 May 2022, his family has announced.
The former Minister of Economic Planning and Development died last week while receiving treatment in a South African hospital.
Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini sent condolences to the royal family and friends of the Prince. He said they differed in political opinions with the Prince but some of his family members would go an extra mile in protecting him.
“I will remember him when he advised us as journalist to sell some of the pictures to Heads of State, this was during a SADC meeting. Watsi letitfombe lenisishutha tona lamihlanganweni nibositsengisela nitokhona kuphila nani. Labaholi bemave bayatitsandza letitfombe batitsenga ngemali mbamba. He opened our eyes to see that the pictures in our cameras as journalists could be turned into gold. The Prince had a good working relationship with journalists,” said the editor.
It has been disclosed that authorities of the country approved a State funeral for the former Minister of Economic Planning and Development.
