MBABANE: Julius Malema, the President of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) met with a delegation from the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) which attended the funeral of Hillary Gardee at Mpumalanga on Saturday.
The late Hillary Gardee is the daughter of EFF Head of International Relations Godrich Gardee, she was abducted last week and brutally murdered, one suspect has been arrested by the police.
The delegation that includes Secretary General Wandile Dludlu, National Organiser Penuel Malinga among others was led was by PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya, the EFF leader, Julius Malema openly declared his support for PUDEMO.
Reached for comments,Mlungisi Makhanya, the PUDEMO President said the delegation was sent by the Executive of his political organization.
“The PUDEMO National Executive Committe, upon learning of the gruesome murder of the daughter of the EFF's Head of International Relations Godrich Gardee, took a decision to send a high level delegation consisting of the President, the Secretary General, National Organising Secretary and other comrades to go and support the leadership of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF and the Gardee family during this difficult moment. After the funeral, the leaders of the two organizations took some time to reflect on a wide range of issues of international solidarity and support for the Swazi struggle. PUDEMO prides herself for the long, healthy and warm relations with the Economic Freedom Fighters and never hesitates to seek counsel from the EFF on political strategies”, said the PUDEMO President.
EFF Deputy President Flyod Shivambu and Head of International Relations Godrich Gardee were among those who met with the PUDEMO leadership.
