MBABANE: Mary DaSilva, the Spokesperson of the Multi-Stakeholders Forum has confirmed that they discussed tension among the political parties affiliated to them but resolved not to interfere.
This comes after chaos erupted during the May Workers Day Celebration where members of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) and the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) clashed, the confrontation subsequently resulted to other political activists being hospitalized.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Sunday,Mary DaSilva,the MSF Spokesperson confirmed that the tensions were discussed in one of their meetings last week but clarified that they resolved not to interfere.
“We resolved that we must allow the political parties to engage and resolve their differences. Even though some of these political parties are affiliated to us, they have a platform where they can talk and resolve their differences”, said the MSF Spokesperson.
When reached for comments earlier, PUDEMO, SWALIMO and CPS Spokespersons confirmed the confrontation but all the political parties shifted the blame to another regarding the real cause of the conflict.
