Self-quarantined King Mswati calls for fasting, prayer to fight CoronaVirus

MBABANE: Self-quarantined King Mswati has called for fasting and a National prayer to fight the spread of the CoronaVirus.

King Mswati allegedly went into self-quarantine shortly after declaring a State of emergency through Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini in the midst of confusing regarding the lack of CoronaVirus equipment with government hospitals shutting down. The message to hold the National prayer was delivered to the Nation by Lindiwe Dlamini, the Minister of Home Affairs who said the King declared Saturday 28th March 2020 as a fasting day that will end with a National prayer on the Sunday 29thMarch 2020.

“Following the CoronaVirus outbreak and the associated statements made in this regard, it has further pleased His Majesty King Mswati III to declare Saturday 28 March 2020 a National Fastening Day to end with a National Prayer on Sunday the 29thof March 2020 starting at 10 am”, said the Minister.

The minister revealed that the National Prayer to be held under the theme “God Heal Our Land” will be accessed only through local media and social media. She also urged the Nation to participate in the National Prayer from their respective comfort places.
