LUDZELUDZE: Eswatini Diabetes will be visiting twelve(12)Constituencies in eSwatini, empowering diabetes patients on using waste as a source of income for them to sustain their medical bills.
On Saturday,the organization visited Ludzeludze Inkhundla to empower both men and women on handcraft skills.
Milly Ndzimba,one of the beneficiaries of the training said apart from being able to know how to take care of their health they gained skills on how to earn a living.
"This opportunity allows us to be stress free because even though we are frustrated about our sickness we also have something positive to do in refreshing and keeping our minds busy”, she said.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, the Director of Eswatini Diabetes, Dumsile Mavuso said they were trying to meet the medical bills that were a neccessity for their members to survive.
“As we talk about how to take care of themselves as diabetes patients, we are also able to empower them with handcraft skills like making hats,doormats,tyre recycling,cushions and other things which they can sell and use that money, buying their medical kits.We are thankful to the factories who give us their waste so that we can make a positive impact in our communities,” said the Director.
