Soldier writes a letter to the editor, takes on King Mswati.

Yes, politicians don't die a natural death and this include the likes of Samora Machel, Herbert Chitepo, Morgan Tsvangarai, Martin Luther  King and Steve Biko just to name a few.

We have seen some politicians being cremated in a space of three(3) days because if an autopsy can be conducted, we don't know what could happen.

Even one of our iconic revolutionists was cremated.

Hundreds of young men and women who sacrificed their lives for Eswatini lie all over in plains, mountains and unmarked shallow graves, some we don’t know where.

They now prioritize building bridges and opening Noodle firms owned by foreigners.

Eswatini needs a leader who cherishes peace and unity, not one who is driven by selfish interests.

In leadership they are many storms that requires a steady hand and not a hand that looks at everything from a selfish point of view.

Mswati, instead of rather resolving the problem, he seeks someone to blame. Mswati is a problem identifier and Eswatini needs a problem solver.

Mswati doesn't do things alone, as law enforcements we are with him and those in power today and we are useless like  never before.

I'm personally ashamed to be a soldier right now. If there's is anything we are doing, why are people being abducted, threatened and treated like animals?

What is it that we are doing when corruption and smuggling has been upgraded, when when activists and journalists are arrested.

What are we doing to be peace-keepers when an opposition is oppressed and refused to exercise one's right.

We need leadership and change of mindset.

As soldiers we are the defination of barbarics. We are doing the same thing the same way expecting different results. We killed and crippled our fellow country men we vowed to protect.

We saw what happened in June and we doing it now instead of us engaging them. It is us who need civilians more than they need us.

They can do without us, and we can't do without them. We are outnumbered as I speak, per battalion we have like 300 or less soldiers including boader line patrols, the numbers are just too small.

All I know is the civilians haven't sacrificed enough, be it the time spent on unproductive thing or the matches. But it is time we know for freedom blood is shed.

"To see a man beaten not by a better opponent but by himself is tragedy" one revolutionalist quoted these words. Mswati is killing the goose that lays the golden eggs by increasing the tax. We all see we are being governed by professional thieves and robbed by the same government we voted for. According to Mangololo movement, we are not suppose to cry because by mere voting, we are accomplices, we are bailing criminals.

Why don't we change the system then because we have the power. Eswatini government is better served spending more time talking about what Eswatini is actually doing e.g Manqoba Khumalo busy painting Eswatini into a project.

You cannot claim to be a messiah for the transgressions you deliberately caused. We cannot applaud a man for the things and facilities that has always been there nor should we applaud a basic raise for civil servants as if he is using money from his pocket.

We are tax payers and we expect accountability of our money.

Even the likes of Rorbet Mugabe whom we compare with, had the prerequisite education to understand basic economics since he had masters in the field.

You could not lie to him that the economy was growing and hyperinflation and that you have a budget surplus if you could not pay civil servants wages above poverty datum line.

If a new leadership can be ushered in, it will take a decade to undo the damage caused by Mswatis regime to the level of middle income nation, that is the truth.

A lot of soldiers don't even care that in simple terms, the lose of value of national currency and persistent increase of prices is a sign that the economy is growing backwards, we are doomed.

The question should be, can we get him down from there without endangering others?

Of course Mswati doesn't even know what to do there, that is why he is busy arresting MPs on stupid trumped up charges.

The list is endless but how do we get him down without endangering others is now the million dollar question.

As part of the law enforcement I plead with my fellow mates to stop the killing and torturing of our brothers, we need ethical leadership.

Ethical leaders are advanced communicators, we need leaders who value open communication which promotes an egalitarian work environment decision-making.

We need change no matter what happens. Stop the killings, you sworn in to serve and protect your country and your fellow country-men.
