MAHLABATSINI SOLDIER’S SHOOTING:Commander says action will be louder than words.

MAHLABATSINI: The newly appointed female Commander of the Ground Forces says action will now speak louder than words.

When asked by this Swaziland News if she wanted to send a message or a statement after the shooting of a soldier at Mahlabatsini(New Village) on Tuesday evening, the Commander said she wanted to concentrate on ground work adding that statements would come later.

“For now, we want to work, we will issue statements later”, she said.

The soldier whose name cannot be revealed for now was a member of Prophet Qwabe church, the Prophet confirmed the shooting.

Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

King Mswati unleashed soldiers and the police to shoot and kill dozens of civilians merely for demanding democratic reforms.

This has resulted to the establishment of ground forces who are protecting the civilians by targeting the police and soldiers.

On Wednesday morning, a battalion police officers from Matsapha Police Station were deployed in Matsapha to search for members of the Ground Forces.
